Be kind to yourself. How to spend your time during your period

Once a month, a woman's body goes into full gear during menstruation to detoxify.

I think many people suffer from various pains and ailments such as stomach pain, back pain, headaches, dizziness, and nausea.

However, normal menstruation is not painful.

When you excrete the right amount for each person, neither a large amount nor a very small amount,

It will be over in just 3 days.

Oh man, my emotions have been going up and down a lot lately.

Oh, you really want something sweet?

So instead of a fight of blood, pain and painkillers with a fighting gong ringing, "It's come again this month,"

In reality, it's a much more casual relationship.

I myself stopped breastfeeding and started menstruating again this spring.

My body has been chilled by the long summer of living in air conditioning, and it has reacted sensitively to it, causing me to feel stronger pain and heaviness than usual compared to last month and this month.

In that case, follow these basic steps:

① Don’t let your body get cold

☑ Protect your ankles with leg warmers

☑︎ Wear a soft belly band (be careful not to wear it too tightly)

☑ Wear five-toed socks

☑︎ Use cloth napkins

② For a warm and comforting meal

Since the body is built on food, paying a little attention to what you eat during your period can greatly improve your mood and pain.

☑︎ Eat less than 80% full

☑ Chew thoroughly at least 30 times

☑︎ Avoid foods that are hard on the digestive system (flour, processed foods, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, spicy foods, fried foods, cold foods)

☑︎Enjoy Japanese food such as freshly cooked rice and miso soup

Drink fennel tea

☑︎Hot water + ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, or ghee are also good options.

3. Keep it simple

☑ Don't make elaborate dishes (just simmer something and make it simple)

☑ Don't make big decisions

☑︎ Don’t over-schedule

☑︎ I can still go! I stop just two steps before that.

☑︎ Avoid oil massages as much as possible

(During my period, I only apply sesame oil to the top of my head, ears, and soles of my feet.)

* If you notice any abnormalities in your menstrual flow, such as the amount or condition of your menstrual flow, or menstrual pain, we recommend that you do not self-diagnose, but consult a medical institution. Since this is a sensitive matter, it is reassuring to have a family doctor you can easily consult with.

* Fennel tea has a gentle effect and it is said that drinking it in moderation during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not problematic, however, we recommend that you always check with a medical institution.

In my personal experience, the opinions of doctors, midwives, and nurses on the use of turmeric while breastfeeding vary. Since policies vary by medical institution, be sure to consult with your doctor.

The mechanism of the female body is very mysterious and beautiful.

Menstrual discomfort may be able to be changed by some trigger.
